PSPBL Mission Statements

Mission

As change agents the mission of the Society is:

To promote the advancement of law enforcement towards community-oriented policing and problem solving through problem-based learning.

To introduce modern educational methods to promote the values of problem-solving, critical thinking and ethical decision-making in law enforcement culture.

To facilitate and sustain transformation to problem based learning at training academies and at all levels of police departments, corrections and allied social institutions.

To develop and sustain critical thinking and problem-solving skills through the Police Training Officer (PTO) program.

To form strategic alliances that promote and sustain interdisciplinary connections and communication among services committed to transforming policing and correctional services to community based problem-solving cultures.

To promote related training standards for academies and instructors engaged in public safety training.
